Air Force Veteran and Patchogue resident Nathan Gardner with his Service Dog Kenzo was our guest speaker at the Patchogue Lions Club September meeting held at El Matador Restaurant. Nathan shared his personal story of being a Veteran and what challenges he faces with life after active duty. He explained what Kenzo can do to help him, and his family handle these challenges every single day. One of the major fundraisers of the Patchogue Lions Club is to raise money to purchase a puppy for the Guide Dog Foundation, which works with America's Vet Dogs. We are proud to support the Guide Dog Foundation and America's Vet Dogs through our various fundraising efforts and to see the success stories like these.
Barbara Bonilla, Zone Chair from Lions District 20-S, was also in attendance to speak about the many exciting things that are happening in our District and to hear Nathan's presentation.
